LAZER CERAMIC SKATE BEARINGS

From the age of 10, Daniel Uribe (Lazer Ceramic Skate Bearings) always had a passion for skateboards.  As he grew older, his passionate hobby enthralled him to investigate the ceramic bearings of skateboards.  Although these bearings were among the most expensive, they provided better agility and navigation that he saw consumers could have a need for.  With the business insight and mentorship of an entrepreneurial academy, Daniel mobilized his online business venture with a $2500 loan.  The deeply rooted support gave Daniel the confidence to enter three bearing competitions where he received top rankings.  The financial winnings further allowed him to invest in his business via E-bay where he began painting blank skateboards. Not only did the world wide web make his business more economically successful, it also helped launch him into the global market.  With the success of his company, Daniel Uribe hopes to spread the same mentoring insight he received to future generations.

LADY DEE'S DAY SPA & SKIN CARE STUDIO

If distance makes the heart grow fonder, what effect does it have for the aspiring entrepreneur from abroad?  Born in Nigeria, Diane Banks always dreamt of becoming an esthetician. At the early age of seven, Diane would even attempt to persuade people to let her do their nails, skin, or hair.  This childhood ambition reached American soil as Diane she obtained her Bachelors Degree and later opened Lady Dee’s Day Spa & Skin Care Studio of Beverly Hills in 1988.  Not only did distance transform Diane’s childhood dream to a boundless reality, but provide the passion that goals need to thrive.
